The 'Ramakrishna Dalmia Auditorium' first
established on 31st January 1991, was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama. LSR
takes great pride in hosting the daily
assembly, talks by guest speakers, inter-college competitions, other
functions such as the annual College day, movie screenings etc.
Commonly known as the “Audi”, it
is the space created to display talent, encourage creativity, channel
thought and foster communication. It can easily accommodate up to 750 and is
extensively used almost every day to host its many activities.
The sound system includes a
12-channel mixer and a studio master. The light room can operate almost100
lights at the same time with the help of its electronic dimmer. The 40 × 60
ft stage has an automatic main curtain and two other curtains. There are
also 16mm and digital video projectors, which can screen films and
presentations as and when required.
We do not hesitate in saying that it is indeed one of the best
auditoriums
in Delhi University. |
