Designed to be a discipline
that provides both a strong theoretical focus and practical knowledge about the
human psyche, this Department prepares students with skills and knowledge in
areas of personality development, counselling, psychotherapy, stress
management, neuropsychology, advertising and consumer behaviour. A multi-mode
teaching process is adopted that includes workshops, film screenings and visits
to community and mental health institutes. Schools in the Capital call upon the
expertise of the Psychology faculty for counselling, preparing psychology
textbooks for them and to assist in the framing of curricula The study of
psychology enables students to pursue careers and research in the fields of
counselling, human resources, social work and education. |
