Attendance and Internal
Assessment
Attendance requirements
are very strictly adhered to at LSR. Students of professional courses
such as Journalism and Elementary Education are required to attend 75%
of the total lectures and tutorials separately in theory and practical
to appear for the University Examination. Students of all other
courses are required to complete 66.6% of the total lectures and
tutorials separately in theory and practical, in both main and
concurrent course papers, to appear for the
University Examination. For detailed information, students are advised
to read the Student Handbook carefully.
University Evaluation
Successful candidates for
courses other than Elementary Education and Journalism will be
classified on the combined results of Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3
examinations as follows:

Twenty-five percent of the
total marks in a course, in both main and concurrent, are awarded on the basis of continuous
internal assessment. This break up is as follows:

Regularity in Attendance |

In case of a 50-mark
paper percentages will be accordingly scaled down.

Students failing at the
end of the first or second or third year examinations will not be
readmitted. Only students who pass or are promoted to the
second/third year will be allowed to continue in the second/third
year of the college.
