College Day

The Principal, faculty, students and staff of Lady Shri Ram College for Women will celebrate College Day on Monday, 10^th March, 2008 in the College auditorium. The Hon. Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari will be the Chief Guest and Dr. Syeda Saiyidain Hameed, Member, Planning Commission will be the Guest of Honour at the event.

Several distinguished guests including Shri Arun Bharat Ram, Chairman, Governing Body and other dignitaries will grace the occasion. Attendance at the event is by invitation only.

The programme will commence at 5:15pm with the arrival of the Chief Guest. The Principal will present the Annual Report and distribute the awards to the alumna and students followed by a cultural programme which will have performances by the various student Societies.

NOSTALGIA 2008

Dear Alumna,

Greetings from the Alumna Cell!

You will be glad to know that we are organizing "Nostalgia 2008" on Saturday, February 16, 2008. It promises to be a grand Alumnae homecoming.

It would be great if Alumnae can come together and put up a cultural progarmme. We welcome your ideas and suggestions on making it participatory. Your contribution towards the cultural programme and suggestions will make Nostalgia 2008 very exciting and memorable.

20th WORLD SWIMMING MARATHON

A little known event in far away Zurich has done the College proud. Twenty-nine year old Meenakshi Pahuja, a lecturer in our Physical Education department participated in the 20th International Self-Transcendence Marathon Swim, in Lake Zurich on 5th August 2007. The marathon race was from Rapperswil to Zurich and Meenakshi placed fifth in the main women's category. Lauding her effort our Principal Dr Gopinath had this to say of her effort', " I am so so so proud of you. It was great and how you have grown....my little Meenakshi...into a confident articulate woman."
